OK, by now your probably wondering about a few things. Things like, "OK, so why DoomsDay Aardvark?" or "Aardvark? What the heck's an Aardvark?" or "What does D.A.R.R. mean?" or "Is this guy nuts?" or maybe even, "What am I doing here?" I can sort of answer the first few, but that last one.... Well, your on your own there. Since to the best of my knowledge, nobody links to me yet, you must have typed the URL in and gotten here that way.

Anyway, to begin, I will not tell you who I am exactly, we'll just call me the Grand Poobah for right now. That line is there in case you have no idea how you got to this site. There's a lot of crazies out there you know. I'm probably just paranoid, and in fact, my resume will doubtless end up on this site eventually, but for now we'll just leave it at that.

Now, on to the questions. I chose DoomsDay Aardvark for no real reason at all. I was just happy to find a dotcom that wasn't taken by a cyber-squatter. My friend Kevin agreed to pay for the first year of registration, and has been good enough to host for me. So be a sport and check him out at www.nivex.net. Anyway, I digress.

For those of you (and there shouldn't be any) who are wondering just what the heck an aardvark is, here you go:

A burrowing mammal (Orycteropus afer) of southern Africa, having a stocky, hairy body, large ears, a long tubular snout, and powerful digging claws.

They are also called ant-eaters. This name is due most likely to the fact that thier diet consists almost entirely of ants. Clever name that one.

So why doomsday? I think I've covered that one. No reason. I am not a terrorist, and have absolutely no desire to bring about the end of the world, with or without aardvarks. So don't go there!

OK, now, so what does D.A.R.R. stand for? Quite simple, really. It stands for DoomsDay Aardvark's Random Rant. I will use these pages to do pretty much what I'm doing right now. Absolutely nothing. Really, it's exam week, and I just wanted to blow off some steam. Not really for any reason, just needed something that wasn't school related. I will come on here at random intervals and rant about random things. It is also fairly likely that I will keep at least some backup archive of this crap, if for whatever insane reason you think you want to read something that is older than the last time I ranted.

As for me being crazy...........Well, um, probably. I'm not a psychiatrist, even if I could spell it. I honestly don't know. But I think that the choice of domain names certainly points to at least a few conclusions concerning my mental health. Well, have fun, everybody. I'll be around.
